I just came back home from an amazing cruise around the Mediterranian coast , about which I will tell you more very soon. Our ship took off in Barcelona, so we decided to add two nights in this vibrant city to our trip.
While looking for a hotel to stay, I immediately thought of Mandarin Oriental. I’ve visited the hotel last year for an event and I was blown away by the rooftop. During our stay we decided to spend an afternoon on the rooftop and it was one of my favorite moments during these two days in Barcelona. The rooftop is so peaceful, you have an incredible view and the food was delicious! A perfect relaxing day, before we took off to explore the city in the late afternoon.
I’ve stayed in Mandarin Oriental in Paris and now Barcelona, and if there is one thing I have to say about this hotel group, it’s their incredible service. From the moment you walk in to the hotel, you’re being treated as a princess, no request is too much for the staff to take care of.
We’ve had the pleasure to enjoy the breakfast and a dinner in the Blanc hotel. We enjoyed both but as you know breakfast is my favorite moment of the day. At Mandarin Oriental they went the extra mile with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, churros with hot chocolate, fresh carrot cake and so on. A breakfast of dreams!
We’ve had an upgrade to a deluxe suite, which was breathtaking. I especially fell in love with the balcony that had view on Passeig de Gràcia.
On this street you can find Casa Batllo and Casa Milà by Gaudi. Next to that all luxury brands are located here with their flagship stores. Right up my alley!
Want to escape the city? The garden of the hotel is perfect for this! On Sundays they organise ‘Vermut&Music’, where you can enjoy live music with a glass of vermouth and bites. After that, head up to the rooftop or down to the spa for total relaxation.
