The rooms are pretty big for Paris and the hotel is modern. The windows in our room were small, which is a pity because you have an insane view. Nevertheless this didn’t really bother me. I just think it’s important to know if you want to book a hotel with a view. To enjoy the view I had a drink on the hotel terrasse.
You could already read about my time in Paris and today I want to talk a bit more about my hotel. I’ve stayed at the Mercure hotel at Montmartre, which is right at the Sacre-Coeur. It’s ten minutes away from Gare du Nord and very close to a metro station with a good connection to all the most important spots in Paris.
One thing that’s really important for me at hotels is the morning breakfast. There was a nice selection of bread, yoghurt, fruits and of course pain au chocolat et croissants ;-). Breakfast how it should be!
The hotel also had a gym with modern equipment. For a hotel in the city, I think it was pretty big with around six machines. I squeezed in a workout in between my busy schedule and it definitely felt good to do at least something of a workout when you have breakfast buffet, lunch and sometimes a three-course dinner.
If you’re planning a trip to Paris, I would totally recommend Mercure Montmartre. Prices start from 127 euro. More information can be found here.
