Travel: Club Med Sensations Val Thorens

Time to tell you all about my Club Med experience! In January it was the first time I travelled with Club Med and as you might remember, it was amazing. This time I was a bit sceptical because I’m not really into winter sports. I only went skiing once in my life and it wasn’t a big success… After this trip the winter vibes definitely got to me. Practising my skills, enjoying the air in the mountains, the views, the sun on my face and of course the best possible service by Club Med.

Above you can see the view I had from my room. What I loved most about this Club Med, is that everything was modern and a bit futuristic. The rooms where absolutely stunning.
Let’s talk about one of my favorite things in the world, food. Club Med Sensations has two restaurants. One is a restaurant with buffet and the other has snacks all day long and in the evening it’s a gastronomic restaurant. Both of these restaurants were amazing. For example the buffet has fresh orange juice in the morning and a chocolate fountain in the evening, yum!
As some of you already know, I turned 25 during this trip. On my B-day we had a special surprise activity planned. When we arrived it was a helicopter tour! With Club Med you can book this or other fun activities like a dog sled tour, paragliding and more. I enjoyed this experience so much! I will definitely remember my 25th birthday for the rest of my life.

For this trip I took some warm clothes with me. My new personalised classic UGG boots where for sure my best friends during this trip.
Time to ski! I took two classes and the last day I hit the blue slope, which was a big challenge but thanks to our PR-lady Kim, I managed to get down in one piece. At Club Med ski or snowboard lessons are included and so is your ski pass. Ski material can be rented.
For the occasion I was wearing ski pants and a ski coat from Colmar. I loved the coat so much that I also wore it for our helicopter trip. It’s warm and I love the black fur.
As you can see I started to have a lot of fun with it! After skiing, there’s the apres-ski ;-). Club Med has some awesome music and drinks waiting for you when you get back from the slope. I also enjoyed relaxing in the lounge for a bit and eat some pancakes or other appetizers.
The Bar Tout Chaud lounge is perfect if you want to relax. You can come here to get a drink and just chill with some live or lounge music.
For the active people, Club Med Sensations also has a fitness, organises group sessions and there’s even a climbing wall. If you’re less active, you can relax in the jacuzzi or hamam or book yourself a Spa treatment. I had a back massage and it was more than welcome after a busy day of skiing.
In this Club Med there are no special activities for children, they are welcome, there’s just no extra animation for them. With other words, this is a great place for people who love to relax, have a romantic trip or just want to ski and party with friends.
Club Med, you never cease to amaze me. Thank you so much for having me and special thanks to Kim and UPR. We also went with a fun group and I want to thank them because during these trips, the company is so important for a nice time!
At this moment, I only have memories left, but they are all wonderful. If this post got you ‘warm’ to get a winter getaway, be sure to check the Club Med website for all information.
